Ololade Oletubo

Ololade Oletubo is a Nigerian-born mixed media artist whose practice explores the intersection of culture, identity, memory, and environmental sustainability. Since beginning her professional career in 2018, she has developed a distinctive artistic language through drawing, painting, and the innovative use of reclaimed materials, transforming discarded objects into compelling contemporary artworks.

Her work is rooted in the belief that art can inspire both cultural reflection and environmental responsibility. By combining traditional artistic techniques with sustainable practices, Oletubo creates richly textured pieces that celebrate African heritage while addressing global conversations around sustainability and social change.

Oletubo is the author of Beyond the Canvas (2024) and Art and Sustainability (2025), publications that reflect her commitment to creative education and sustainable artistic practice. She is a member of the Guild of Professional Fine Artists of Nigeria (GFA), the Society of Nigerian Artists (SNA), and the Africa Arts Association (AFrAA).
